Closure of School Due to Severe Weather Conditions Procedure
Our annual "wet season" sometimes results in dangerous conditions, and the decision may be made to close schools to minimise risk to students and their families. Stationery Requirements
There are two options for purchase of book packs for 2012 With both options, you can purchase the complete pack, or just select the items you require. Full booklists for each year level are available for download below.
Option 1 – online ordering & home delivery
Online ordering via the OfficeMax website has now closed.
Option 2 – purchase at newsagency
The Lucky Charm Newsagency in Stockland will have stock of all required items and will be happy to assist you with your book-pack purchases. They will also have supplies available throughout the year, should you need to purchase additional supplies.
Download the required year level booklist/s from below and mark the items and quantities you need. Take it to the Lucky Charm Newsagency at Stockland Plaza (or to their Centre Stage booth during the peak back-to-school period in January). Orders may also be faxed to 07 4725 6630 or emailed to townsville@theluckycharm.com.au
Credit card payments can be made by phone (4725 6629) or in person, and your complete book pack can be picked up from Stockland Plaza at an arranged date. For boarding students, the orders can be delivered to school.
The School Retail Shop is open until Thursday 1 December 2011 and will reopen on Monday 16 January 2012. Trading Hours are from 8am – 1.30pm Monday to Friday.

Uniforms
The Cathedral School Uniform
Formal uniform (Years 3 - 12) - Worn for special occasions
Boys - navy shorts or trousers, white short-sleeved shirt and school tie
Girls - navy dress with white collar
Black leather shoes, white ankle-length socks and the sports hat (Years 3 - 6) or the formal hat (Years 7 -12) are worn with this uniform.
General day uniform (Prep - Year 12)
Boys - navy shorts and loose fitting blue-check shirt
Girls - navy skort and tailored blue-check blouse
Black leather shoes, white ankle-length socks and the formal hat are worn with this uniform.
Sports uniform (all year levels including Pre-Prep)
Boys and girls - navy sports shorts with school logo, polo shirt in School or House colours.
White sports shoes, white ankle-length socks and the navy sports hat are worn with this uniform.
Students in Kindergarten to Year 3 do not require the full range of uniforms. Except on designated sports days, students may not wear their sports uniform to and from school.

It is recommended that all hats and uniforms are labelled with the student’s name so they are easily identifiable if lost.
There are many commercial suppliers of iron-on or sew-on name tags. Orders can be placed online and tags will be delivered post-free in just a few days. Here are a couple of suggested suppliers: www.kwiktapes.com.au or www.nameitlabels.com.au
School Shoes
The Athlete’s Foot Castletown and The Willows are the only supplier to provide pre-approved footwear for The Cathedral School.

Your child will be expertly fitted by our qualified Fit Technicians and $5 from every shoe purchase is donated back to your school – this applies to shoes for the whole family!
The Athlete's Foot will be onsite in the Retail Outlet to fit your students for school and sports shoes on the following dates:
- Monday 16 January, 8am - 3pm
- Wednesday 18 January, 8am - 3pm
- Tuesday 24 January, 11am - 1pm
