Scholarships for 2013
Scholarship applications for entry to Years 4, 7, 8 or 11 in 2013 are now open.
The Cathedral School will be using Edutest Scholarship testing program this year. It comes highly recommended and we look forward to using this form of testing to identify students with the ability and potential to succeed in our school.
Please read the following information carefully before using the link below to register for the Edutest Scholarship Selection Test on Saturday 28 April 2012.
Applicants will also need to download and complete the specific Application Form. Applications close on 20 April 2012.
1. Academic Scholarship (for students entering Years 4, 7, 8 or 11) – Students are selected on the basis of their previous school reports and their performance in the Edutest Scholarship Selection Test. Applicants must demonstrate consistently high levels of effort and academic performance, plus strong rankings in the Scholarship Selection Test. Recipients will be expected to maintain commitment to studies and high levels of academic achievement throughout the tenure of the scholarship.

2. Boarding Scholarship (for students entering Years 8 or 11) – Boarding Scholarships are offered on the basis of application and interview, plus performance in the Edutest Scholarship Selection Test. Applicants must demonstrate a positive attitude to studies and extracurricular involvement. Recipients will be expected to maintain commitment to studies and make a positive contribution to boarding life at The Cathedral School.

3. EHSB Means-tested Boarding Scholarship (for students entering Year 8) - One full scholarship is available each year to a promising student from a rural/remote location whose family would not otherwise be able to afford The Cathedral School for their child. Applicants need to download and complete a Family Financial Information Form in addition to the normal Boarding Scholarship application procedure.

4. Church Scholarship (for students entering Year 8) – Church Scholarships are offered on the basis of application and interview, plus performance in the Edutest Scholarship Selection Test. Recipients will be expected to maintain commitment to studies and make a significant contribution to Christian activities at The Cathedral School.

5. Music Scholarship (for students entering Years 8 to 11) – Music Scholarships are offered on the basis of application and audition (not required to sit the Edutest scholarship tests). Applicants must demonstrate excellence on their principal instrument and commitment to music. Recipients will be expected to make a significant contribution to the Music Program at The Cathedral School.

Other financial assistance:
Hardship Bursaries (any year level) - General financial assistance may be available to families in exceptional circumstance. Contact the Principal for consideration.
All Scholarships and bursaries are reviewed annually to ensure recipients continue to meet their obligations. The Principal may cancel any scholarship or bursary if conditions of the offer are not being met.
