Music

The Cathedral School has a very dynamic performing arts program which enables students of all ability levels to explore and enjoy the creative and artistic elements of life.

Those with musical talent are encouraged to join one of the musical groups which operate in the School. These include the School Choir, Orchestra, Concert Band and Jazz Band, as well as some other small ensembles. These musicians are often called upon to perform at school and community functions.

Biannual productions in the Senior School combine drama and musical talents to stage memorable performances such as Footloose (2004), Bugsy Malone (2002) and Little Shop of Horrors (2000).

The annual interhouse musical and drama competitions give students the opportunity to create their own performances, develop teamwork and leadership skills and have lots of fun.
