Parents and Friends’ Association

The Parents and Friends’ Association (P & F) is an active and vibrant friend-raising and fund-raising group within The Cathedral School and has been a vital part of our school community for many decades.  The committee also hosts a complimentary Welcome Back BBQ for all families at the start of the school year.

Each year the P & F raise significant funds through their work and this money is invested back into the school in a wide range of areas including the following:

- Rock Centre sound system 
- Pool shade cover
- Junior School saltwater fish tank
- Senior School Design & Tech Department CNC router 
- Junior School STEM gear 
- Middle School notice boards
- ELC Toddler/Junior sandpit
- Middle School tables and benches for the Year 9 eating area 
- Dining Hall refurbishment
- Prep puzzles
- Concrete handball courts
- Senior School seating
- Junior School Music program ukuleles 
- Security cameras
- 20 round function tables
- Rock Centre removable carpet tiles and storagetrolleys

The P & F also donate all profits from their annual raffle to charity; in 2016 $5,000 was donated to Headspace Townsville.
