The major purpose of the Information Resource Centre is to assist students become lifelong independent learners and readers by providing opportunities to enhance a culture of reading excellence and literacy outcomes across the School.
The IRC staff ensures staff and students have access to:
• A wide range of relevant, appropriate, high quality print, multimedia, and electronic resources selected to match the curriculum, students' learning styles and abilities and their recreational reading interests
• Teaching, learning and production areas suitable for individual, small and large group use to facilitate the development of information literacy skills
• Equipment and technologies to enable students to present their research assignments in a variety of models.
The Information Resource Centre (IRC) is open Monday to Friday during school terms at the following times: 8.15 am to 3.45 pm. The library is open before school, lunch time and after school.
