Parents and Friends’ Association

The Parents and Friends’ Association (P & F) is an active and vibrant friend-raising and fund-raising group within The Cathedral School and has been a vital part of our school community for many decades.

The P & F run a variety of functions throughout the year.  The first function each year is the annual complimentary Welcome Back BBQ for all new and returning families and staff.

The P & F raise significant funds through their work and this money is invested back into the school in a wide range of areas including the following items purchased in 2019:

  • Outdoor seating for the Middle School Precinct.

  • An additional laser cutter for the Design & Technology Department.

  • A GoPro for our boarding students to film activities and events for their parents to view.

  • Additional lighting for our iconic ‘Birdcage’.

In Term 4, 2019 the P & F ran a Christmas Raffle with all proceeds being donated to two local groups:

  • Youth Justice Services

  • Althea Projects Inc (Wee Care)

In 2020 the school will be holding its biennial Carnival (Fete) on Friday 21 August from 5pm to 8pm.  This is a major fund-raiser for the P & F and a wonderful community event.

P & F meetings are held once a month in the Junior School Wonder Hub at 7pm and everyone is welcome to attend.  The 2020 meeting dates are:

  • 21 April

  • 12 May

  • 9 June

  • 21 July

  • 11 August

  • 8 September

  • 13 October (AGM)

  • 10 November
